3 to 4 BR Resort Suite
Absolutely one of the best family resorts I have ever been to. The resort is gorgeous, the rooms are spacious and clean and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We just returned from a 6 day stay in a 3 bedroom villa in the main tower. My husband and I traveled with our 3 boys (12, 10, and 8) and my mother-in-law. EVERYONE had a super time. The boys loved the pool, waterslide, and lazy river (as did the adults). There is space to have fun and to relax. My husband and son golfed and couldn't say enough wonderful things about the Ocean Course. The beach is fantastic, the kids enjoyed boogie boarding and making sand castles. The fitness center is also top-notch.
All in all, I would say this is one of the best family resorts. From the time you get there until the time you drive away, the resort staff and facilities just exude warmth and relaxation. I would HIGHLY recommend this resort!!

We recently stayed in one of the 3BR/3BA condos in the main tower with an ocean/pool view. The condo was great - nicely decorated, great space, great outdoor patio, very clean. It was high 70s and sunny when we were there - still a little early in the season. Of the six pools, 1 of the 2 kids pools was heated - which was great. The waterslide was also heated. Wish the other pools or the lazy river was heated. The 1 heated pool was jammed over the weekend b/c no one else wanted to brave the other frigid pools (except for those hardy Northerners!). The spa was nice - enjoyed the service. About average pricing for a resort. We loved the fact they unpacked our whole car for us.
We reserved a three bedroom unit, and it was really exceptional in many ways. The kitchen included everything you would need for a week at the beach. Utensils of all types, a full cookware set, large refrigerator, nice oven, toaster, microwave, dishwasher, etc. were all there. The unit included granite counter tops in the kitchen as well as in every bathroom. In addition, there was a full size washer and dryer. Little boxes of Tide, Downy, dishwasher soap, sponges for cleaning dishes, as well as coffee packets were replenished on a daily basis. There were big screen televisions in every bedroom as well as in the family room. Our room even included blu-ray DVD players and one room had a Bose system. The main family room also had an Apple TV device. It was all very nice. A dedicated router provided internet specifically to our room. It worked flawlessly the entire time we were there. The entire unit was very comfortable, spacious, and well-appointed.
We rented a 4 bedroom condo for 6 adults and 5 kids under the age of 4. It was plenty of room; we had a great condo & great view. This is our 3rd trip to Hammock Beach and we could not be happier with this resort. We appreciate the space and convenience of a condo: a full kitchen and washer/dryer, but all the amenities of a hotel: room service, spa, golf and great pool area. We traveled the week after Labor Day and had the place to ourselves. The pool area was perfect for the kids and the pool wait staff did a great a job keeping the adults happy. I will acknowledge that service in other areas could be spotty but unless you’re looking for problems it was not that big a deal. I recommend the Hammock Beach resort to all my friends; they have beautiful rooms & great amenities (I recommend the massage). We are looking forward to our fourth stay in 2010!
