The Lodge at Hammock Beach Resort
This is my second time going to Hammock Beach with my wife. We had the luxury of having my sister-in-law watch the kids for three days so we could get away for some peace and quiet. Our first experience last year, at the same time was memorable and exciting. This year, we were greeted by the same warm smile of Alberta, the concierge at the "lodge". She is quite helpful and always pleasant to deal with. Unfortunately we didn't get oceanview room #9, but we got 11 this year. It's almost equally as good. It has a balcony that overlooks the beach, with bottom windows that you can leave open to hear the waves crash all nite long. This year we only spent time on the beach, which is never overcrowded. The staff here cater to all of your needs, and I have yet to find anyone who hasn't satisfied my requests.
The food here is excellent, and service is superb, but be prepared to pay for it. We chose to dine in town a few times, and unfortunately learned only on the last day that there is a Publix within walking distance. We also learned that there is an awesome seafood restaurant nearby, "JT's Seafood Shack". Don't be fooled by the outward appearance, it's awesome, and the service is also great. Take home a bottle of their hot sauce, trust me.
All in all, I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Next year I plan to book a suite and bring the kids. I sincerely love this place, and I lucked out this year with a Buy 1 Nite, get 1 Nite free offer. Hopefully they offer the same next year.

Reviews
We stayed at the Lodge last year and simply loved it. Our oceanfront room was beautiful and NOTHING beats opening the lower windows to listen to the ocean all night long. For a quiet getaway, beautiful decor, and relaxing atmosphere, the Lodge at Hammock Beach is your choice. We're back this 4th of July weekend!!! I look at the pictures on the internet every night and literally can't wait. I count it Christmas in July!
We visited the Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast and loved it. We stayed in the Lodge. The room was beautiful, spacious and very clean. The grounds were immaculate and the staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a great pool area with a lazy river and slide. There were several restruants and bars on the property and the food, drinks and service were excellent. We are already looking forward to our next trip.
My husband and I were looking for a last minute getaway and we found it - living in Orlando we wanted to be able to go someplace that would allow us to take our minds off our daily routine and just be able to sit back and relax. The Lodge itself was small and quaint and everyone was extremely helpful and always smiling from the moment you drove up to the moment we left. Our room was situated overlooking the golf course and the ocean! It was excactly what we needed. Wish we had more time to spend there and have thought about taking a week vacation to the resort and upgrading to a 2- or 3-bedroom villa. Enjoyed the pool although the water on the Lazy River was quite chilly to enjoy! The one item that could get anyone in trouble is the ability to charge everything to the room! Enjoy!
I just returned home today from a 3 night stay in the Lodge at Hammock Beach. After my 4 hour drive, one would think I wouldn't feel like writing a review. I felt compelled to share my great experience with others. I had never heard of this property. We chose to stay in the Lodge since it offered a boutique hotel feel. The Lodge only has 20 oceanview or oceanfront rooms. We were in room 12, a lovely oceanfront room that had a king bed, balcony, mini fridge, and a large walk in shower. The room was large and decorated nicely in true Florida fashion...louvered closet and bathroom doors. The bed was a nice platform style with a wrap around leather headboard. The mattress was a little hard for my taste, but my husband enjoyed it. The ceiling was at least 10 feet high and helped add a feeling of space to the room. The tv was a large flat screen. The toiletries were upper end and nicely fragranced. Our friends were in room 18. That room is actually a suite of 3 separate rooms. It has a large sitting and dining area, a full soaking tub with an additonal shower, and a king size bed. Their room was oceanview, not oceanfront. What most impressed us was the impeccable service. We encountered LONG TERM staff who seemed to love their jobs. Although we stayed during low season, the resort was at 98% capacity over the weekend. That being said, we never felt crowded. And we were never overlooked when it came to receiving great service. We ate at both sit down restaurants. We were pleased with the portions, prices, and flavor of everything we ate. We had couples massages and thought they were in line with comparable massages at other resorts. One small complaint, the waiting area was crowded and not very relaxing. The treatment rooms were large and quiet though. The locker room was filled with many amenities such as large showers, an inhalation room, sauna, and steam room. The attendant, Debbie, made us feel welcomed and comfortable with all of the amenities too. We've already decided to return with our children next summer for a long weekend. The resort offers many family friendly activities such as minature golf, many pools, waterslide, lazy river, bocce ball, badminton, and kid's camps. All that in addition to being beach front. How can your little sweetie get bored here? On Saturday, the resort even hosted a dog show and live band. HOW CUTE! Anyone who goes to Hammock Beach will certainly enjoy!
